Dressing Outside The Box: festival summer

Whoever thinks that I am wearing a lot of shorts this season… is absolutely right! I became aware of it at the shooting for this outfit. I guess I haven’t shown that much here on my blog, but most of you know that I am also writing for Soulfully.de, a German plus size blog powered by Otto.de. There I have really shown tons of different outfits with shorts. By now I am possessing so many, I can’t even count them anymore.

I think this may have two different backgrounds. The first one is that I have never really worn shorts before because I have been way too under-confident because of my fat thighs. The second is that I feel there have never been so many different beautiful options for shorts. If you wanted to have some old fashioned Bermuda shorts, you probably would have been in bermuda-short-heaven. But if you wanted to have some fashionable shorts equally to shorts for average size fashion, you were definitely out of luck. Thank goodness it’s a new season and as things seem to change, you were able to get a lot of gorgeous shorts. JUNAROSE had been the label with the largest amount of different options when it comes to shorts: fake leather shorts, jersey shorts, denim shorts, lace shorts and printed shorts, like the ones I am wearing here. Combined with casual shirts, suede or leather jackets, fringe detailing or bohemian blouses, shorts become the most perfect companion for hot summer days, no matter if you simply wear them out to a shopping spree in the city or to an exciting festival.

Wer denkt ich würde diese Saison besonders viele Shorts tragen, dem stimme ich vollkommen zu. So richtig bewusst wurde es mir bei dem Shoot für dieses Outfit. Ich schätze hier auf meinem Blog hält es sich noch in Grenzen, aber zählt man die Short-Outfits, die ich für den Blog Soulfully.de, einem deutschen Plus Size Blog der von Otto.de gesponsert wird, gepostet habe, so summiert sich das ganze doch etwas. Mittlerweile besitze ich tatsächlich so viele, dass ich sie aus dem Stehgreif gar nicht mehr abzuzählen vermag. Ich denke das hat letztendlich zwei Hintergründe. Der Erste ist der, dass ich zuvor nie Shorts getragen hatte. Zum einen weil ich meine dicken Beine nicht zeigen wollte, zum anderen weil es meist nur fürchterliche Bermudashorts zur Verfügung gab. Der zweite Hintergrund steckt eigentlich schon in dem Vorherigen. Es gab bisher einfach keine gute Auswahl. Das sieht diese Saison anders aus und wer Shorts so gerne mag wie ich, der muss auf jeden Fall bei JUNAROSE vorbeischauen.
